Smoke can leave a property owner with several decisions at once: where the impact extends, what can be retained, who should assess it, and what records an insurer or contractor needs. This site organizes those conversations. The guides and local tools are educational planning resources. They do not inspect your building, identify a residue or certify that a place is safe.

HAUSE Technologies operates SmokeDamage.ca and receives its enquiries. If an appropriate restoration provider is available for your location and need, the team may—with your consent—share your request with that provider so they can respond. Submission does not establish contractor availability, a quoted price, insurance coverage or a booking.

How the information is organized

Use What happened for event context, Materials for item-specific questions, Restoration for scope and completion discussions, and the tools to build a brief. Wildfire smoke has a separate pathway because ongoing outdoor exposure and damage after a nearby fire are different situations. Source links identify the jurisdiction and role of the guidance.

The site does not claim to employ a restoration crew, hold a contractor certification or have completed the illustrated work. Diagrams and smoke textures are illustrations. Their purpose is to make questions easier to understand.
